- Introduction: Thank you for choosing to book with Crow How Country House. We look forward to welcoming you. When you make this booking you are entering an agreement with us. Please read our terms and conditions of booking below.
- Prices: The price includes accommodation plus any board indicated. Unless clearly stated on the booking form all extras such as additional meals, telephone, drinks etc are additional. We accept the following forms of payment:
cash, debit cards, credit cards.
- Payment Details: For all bookings we require a deposit of an amount equal to the total first nights stay to confirm the booking. We accept all major credit cards but charge an extra 2% due to banking charges. This applies to deposits and outstanding balances. We do not apply any charge for debit cards or cash, this again applies to deposits and outstanding balances. Your deposit must reach us within 7 days of making the booking, failure to do so will make your reservation void. We will send you a letter (or email if preferred) confirming the booking and letting you know what the outstanding balance is. The balance is due on departure.
- Pets: Well behaved pets are permitted BY PRIOR ARRANGEMENT only, at the cost of £10 per booking. The guest responsible for the pet MUST follow the rules sent out to them. Any infringement of the rules and we reserve the right to either ban the pet from the building and/or gardens, or ask the guest responsible for the dog to leave. These rules are designed for the benefit of all guests in the house.
- Cancellation and Insurance: Once you have booked your stay, our agreement is a legal contract and any deposit you may have paid is non-refundable. If you need to cancel please contact us immediately. If you wish to transfer your booking to another date, we will keep your original deposit and will happily re-book your stay with no penalties incurred. Clients are recommended to have insurance to cover cancellation, curtailment, and loss of baggage, personal effects and money.
- Non-availability: We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
- Room Choice: We are happy to book you in to the bedroom of your choice. If in the rare occasion we have to move you to another room (due to unforseen problems), we will contact you before you arrive. If the alternative room offered has the same facilities as the original bedroom then no deposit refund will be given if the guest chooses to cancel their booking. This will only amount to the deposit paid and not the total cost of their stay. If the bedroom offered is not of an equal standard, and if the guest wishes to cancel, their deposit will be returned.
- Arrival: Your accommodation will be available to you from 2pm on the day of arrival, unless otherwise arranged. Please let us know if you plan to arrive after 10pm.
- Departure: Please be ready to leave your accommodation by 10:30am on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged. Your bill for the accommodation and any extras or services taken during your stay is payable on departure unless otherwise arranged.
- Damages and Breakages: Please take care with our accommodation. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant, and we may make an additional charge of £100 if you did not report this.
- Smoking: Smoking is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN in the house. Any sign of smoking in the bedrooms or any other part of the building will result in the occupant being charged a £40 cleaning fee. There is an outside veranda with seating where smoking is permitted. Ashtrays are provided in the veranda, please use these and not the garden, if the ashtray is full please contact a member of staff or empty it in the bin at the top of the terrace steps.
- Liability: We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions in the house or gardens, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.
- Data: Any data gathered during the course of a booking may be held on computer.
