How far are you from Ambleside? 15 minutes stroll or 2 minutes by car away (approx 1 mile)

When can we check in? From 3:00 pm or after. If arriving early you can leave your luggage and park your car with us.

Do you serve evening meals? I am afraid that we do not serve evening meals. Ambleside has many good retaurants within easy reach and we will happily recommend and/or reserve any if asked.

Do you have a Alcohol License? Yes we do. Drinks can be ordered at Reception.

Do you have parking? We are located off the road and have ample parking. Just drive through our main gate, please remember to close the gate behind you to stop any loose farm animals entering the garden.

Can we walk around the garden? Yes, guests can wander freely around the garden.

Are there any walks we can do from the hotel? Yes, we have walking guides in the bedroom folders detailing walks from the hotel front door. There are other numerous walks available from books from our lounge or from local book and climbing shops.

What time is breakfast? Breakfast is served between 8:15am and 9:15am. Please see our Dining section for more detailed information.

Can I bring my dog? Whilst we no longer accept dogs in the hotel we can recommend Ambleside Paws Outdoors which offers a flexable care service for dogs taylored to suit your needs whilst you are staying with us.

Do you accept Children? We do not accept Children under the age of 12.

What does 'How' mean? How simply means a small hill or hummock. When Crow How was first built it was spelt 'howe', but somewhere along the line the 'e' was knocked off. There is a small hummock opposite the house which used to be called Crow Wood, this is what the house is named after.

Do you have Internet access? We have WiFi access throughout the hotel and have a computer for internet use in the main lounge.

Do you have storage for Push Bikes or Motorbikes? We have a secure garage which we will happily store bikes and motorbikes in. Simply ask at reception to gain access.
