We have put together what we feel are the most common general questions that we are asked. Though many of these questions can be answered from the website, this page brings them together for easier access. For questions about cancellations and deposits please see the Terms and Conditions page.

How far are you from Ambleside?

15 minutes stroll or 2 minutes by car away (approx 1 mile)

When can we check in?

From 3:00 pm or after. If arriving early you can leave your luggage and park your car with us.

Do you serve evening meals?

I am afraid that we do not serve evening meals. Ambleside has many good restaurants within easy reach and we will happily recommend and/or reserve any if asked.

Do you have a Alcohol License?

We sell a limited range of drinks and crisps which can be ordered at Reception.

Do you have parking?

We are located off the road and have ample parking. Just drive through our main gate, please remember to close the gate behind you to stop any loose farm animals entering the garden.

Are there any walks we can do from the hotel?

Yes, we have walking guides in the bedroom folders detailing walks from the hotel front door. There are other numerous walks available from books from our lounge or from local book and climbing shops.

Can I bring my dog?

Sorry but we do not except dogs within the hotel or grounds.

Do you accept Children?

Sorry but due to the nature of the house and gardens we do not accept Children under the age of 12.

Do you have Internet access?

We have WiFi access throughout the hotel.

Do you have storage for Push Bikes or Motorbikes?

We have a secure garage which we will happily store bikes and motorbikes in. Simply ask at reception to gain access.
